A small set of public-domain classical piano transcriptions for testing Piano MIDI Player. All pieces are by composers whose works are in the public domain worldwide. Right-click and choose Save Link As… to download, then drag the file onto the app (or use File → Open).

How to use
- Click a link above. Depending on your browser, the file may download or open in a new tab — if it opens inline, use File → Save As from the browser menu.
- Launch Piano MIDI Player.
- Drag the
.midfile onto the app window, or choose File → Open and pick it. - Press the spacebar (or click ▶) to start playback.
Licensing
The underlying compositions are all in the public domain. The MIDI transcriptions here are drawn from freely-shared community arrangements; they are provided for personal study, teaching, and software testing. Attribution to the original transcribers is maintained wherever known.

Piano MIDI Player reads any standard MIDI file (.mid / .midi). Free public-domain transcriptions of most of the classical piano repertoire can be found at archives such as:
- MutopiaProject — scores and MIDI under Creative Commons / Public Domain licences.
- IMSLP — the Petrucci Music Library, primarily scores but many pieces have community MIDI transcriptions linked.
